The PS5 will be vastly more powerful than the PS4 so it should be able to run 1440p/60fps no problem. Hell, maybe even 4k/60 or 1440p/120. I dont even care if there are no 4K or 120fps games as long as every game is above 1080p and at least 60fps. 26.
Does the last of us 2 run 4K/60 on ps5? I searched it up, and all I can find is that the new patch now supports 60 frames for ps5, which I knew. What I wanna know is: does that means it runs 4K 60 frames or 1080 and 60? I’m confused. It didn't bump up the resolution to native 4K, it's still 1440.
Rx 5700xt runs apex 1440p/80-120fps on high. So if the game is well optimized it should run better on better hardware. So 1440p/120fps is very possible. Of course there could be some dips. Of course if they make 1080p/120fps mode it should be locked 120fps. 4k/60fps is almost certain. If not then dynamix 4k/60fps. 3.
Settings for LG TVs: The thing you need to do on the console is to disable any feature that communicates framerates between the console and TV. (For PS5 disable VRR & ALLM). So the TV gets a "stupid fixed fps signal". Otherwise the TruMotion option on LG TVs will be greyed out.

It’s 4K or 60 FPS (about 1440p). You can’t get both on PS5. Those are always clickbait titles, I've seen videos saying 4k/60fps of games that are only 1080p/30fps. FFVII Remake has two modes. Native 4k at 30fps. And 60fps at an usual resolution of around 1512p. Performance mode is native 1440p at 60fps.

VGC reports the game developer has unveiled plans to release a "next-gen" (really, current-gen) update for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2023. The upgrade will offer high frame rate and 4K

The three aforementioned game modes — PS5 Mode, 4K Mode, and 120 fps Mode — will be there. Players cannot do this during gameplay and can only change it in the main menu. Michael Leri
60Hz 4K or 120Hz 1440p should be the developer minimum requirements for PS5 going forward so gamers can finally shed the outdated restrictions of 30FPS from any Sony video game experience. Insomniac was so boastfully proud about their previous commitment to 60FPS, but we haven’t truly reached 4K gaming when the lumbering 30FPS anchor .
