I drive, amongst motorhomes, a 2014 Ducato minibus. Used on an actual bus timetable so lots and lots of clutch operations (manual gearbox). At about 35000 miles the clutch slave cylinder failed. Cost of part £120 , cost of complete job (gearbox off and on and clutch bleeding etc.) £900.
Even though you have balanced your wheels, I would look at possible out of round of the combo - jack it up and spin the wheel with something against the tread and see if any variance. Anything over about 1/8" will cause vibration. Ask the dealer to exchange your wheels with a known good vehicle and see if different.
hi Guys. re:2.8 jtd Manual gearbox I am entertaining converting my auto to a manual. What do people think about the manual gearbox? I have come across one but it doesn't seem to shift into the gears properly. Clutch seems to work. But i can only put into 1st gear or neutral. Is this a linkage problem, hydraulic problem or is the gearbox itself
So far, we’ve driven the Ducato in 160 form with the 9-speed automatic gearbox, which changes gear quickly and smoothly and assures that the appropriate gear is always engaged. This combination
2013 Ducato 130 Multijet (Swift) Motorhome "Comfortmatic" Auto Gearbox. 28k miles. Yesterday, after a couple of hours driving to campsite, the cruise control stopped working, and the (amber) engine warning light came on. Not sure which happened first, it was nearing the end of my journey.
