2.2 Tdci Starter Motor Removal. My starter motor has packed up on my 2008 Mondeo 2.2Tdci Titanium X and I'm struggling to remove it. I have unbolted it but it won't go far enough back to pull it out. I've taken out the fuel filter and turbo boost pipe to improve access and I've been wiggling it all ways and can't work out how it comes out. Get a multimeter on the battery and check the voltage - you're looking for about 12.4V with the engine off. If you're on the original battery (it will have a First Charge date marked on it somewhere), then you've got to bear in mind that it's more than eleven years old, and that's a pretty good innings for a battery. hi there guys just looking for some info on changing the water pump on a mondeo mk3 tdci 130bhp. is it pretty much the same as the ford wiki on the 115bhp engine, as my engine looks abit different. also how easy is it to loosen the tension on the drive belt? garage have quoted me 2 hours labour @£40+vat an hour but if it is not that bad to Urgent Please - Changing drivers-side drive shaft. Hi I am changing drive shaft on the off-side (drivers side) on my Mondeo Mk3 2.0 TDCI 2005. There seems to be a bit of a debate as to whether the gearbox needs draining before changing the driveshaft. Can anyone please confirm whether or not this is the case.

Finally traced the problem to a broken wire going to the map sensor now have no problems reaching 3 figure speeds. Not that I have ever been that fast

107 posts · Joined 2011. #2 · Jan 25, 2012 (Edited by Moderator) Start by doing a dash test. Hold in the odometer reset in and turn on the ignition. Scroll though the tests by pushing the button. Make sure the temp' gauge does a full sweep at first. That will rule that out as the problem.

Hi All, as a coda to this thread, someone on the Mondeo mk3 forum has byepassed the AC compressor and connected a stretchy belt from crank pulley to alternator with complete success. (TDCi engine) He gave details of the belt he used, and I checked with my local car spares shop and they can get the belt, costs £30.
